Missions are a very important part of Gig Harbor Foursquare. We believe Missions are a key part of the Great Commission, "Go into all the earth preaching the gospel..." Mat.28:19. We complete our role by "going", by sending and supporting missionaries all around the world. Please take the time to click around and see the different works that we support. If you would like to give towards these missions look for the giving link located on each missionaries page.
Sandy Bayer serves as our Mission's Director at Gig Harbor Foursquare.
Chris & Sandy are the founding pastors of GH4². They pastored the church for nearly thirty years. On April 1, 2015, Chris went to be with the Lord after a five-year battle with brain cancer. Chris & Sandy worked diligently to love their community and have left a legacy of "Hear the Lord's voice and do what He says".

Ministering in Central Europe since 1986
Resident Missionary in Poland since 1996
Called to be a person in whom Christ dwells, who exhibits His unfailing love & faithfulness, while making my home among the Polish people. (based on John 1:14)
I have been ministering in Poland & Central Europe since 1986. In the beginning I visited twice a year encouraging the believers I had met on my first short term mission trip with my local church. As time went on I found myself sharing in churches & youth camps, smuggling Bibles, teaching parenting & marriage courses, & coordinating small humanitarian projects. When communism fell it changed the whole face of missions in Central & Eastern Europe. It was during this time that a number of my Polish friends began to ask me to come to Poland to stay. To be honest it hadn’t really crossed my mind to be a full time missionary. As I prayed about it & sought God’s confirmation it became clear that the 10 years of “commuting” to Poland had written Poland & her people deeply on my heart. Although I was still physically living in Kirkland, WA my mind & heart had already relocated.
As Poland has changed and adapted to being part of the free market world, NATO and most recently, the European Union, so has my focus evolved. My primary goal is to be Christ’s vessel of unfailing love & faithfulness through modeling integrity & truth, while teaching & empowering others to minister God’s love, hope & power in everyday life. For the many people I interact with every day, I am the 1st if not the only evangelical they have ever met. Today I am the pastor of a church plant in a suburb of Krakow (Nowy Targ). My church is registered under Church of God in Poland. In June of 2012 we showed the film “Fireproof” & have started going through the “Love Dare” journal as a church. We also have many outreaches in the neighboring village(s) of Czorstyn. So far in 2012 we have: St Patrick Day outreach 75% were from outside the church, 2 baseball outreaches in the village, children’s pen pal exchange, women’s meeting “understanding your value as God’s creation”, a public showing of “Fireproof”.
In this unfriendly environment toward evangelicals it is difficult to win the right to be heard…or even exist. The small group of young, faithful, believers that I serve have eagerly joined me with a BIG vision to reach our community with hope. We have a desire to create a center of HOPE where the church will serve the community. There are 4 aspects to this center:
1. Café: Starbuck’s style. To provide legal work & a workplace that respects its workers & the workers work as onto the Lord
2. After school program for latchkey kids: Most Polish families both parents work long hours & the kids are left on their own as fewer & fewer parents can leave their kids with grandparents. These programs will include:
a. Study Skills & tutoring help
b. Sports, crafts & games
c. Self discovery for the purpose of deciding what to study at university
d. Community service projects
3. Workshops & seminars to serve the needs of the community:
a. Parenting support
b. Teacher training
c. Youth programs
4. A place for the church to meet that is public but safe from being evicted.
We have found a building that we are believing for. It is vacant & in a great location for what we would want to do. There is a “strip” park down one side of the building: 2 playgrounds for small children, a basketball court & a skate park. There are 11 blocks of apartments that are on either side of the building & a technical high school across the street. The estimated cost of the basement, plus 2 floor building, ground & remodel is $500,000.
Region: Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia (MENACA)
Mark and Lisa have deployed to the MENACA region for language learning and to establish cross-cultural relationships.
Mark and Lisa are establishing relationships and are networking with people in the Middle East. They are learning the language and are learning more about the culture. They are looking and praying for open doors to teach and serve the people and refugees there.
We ask for prayer for wisdom, discernment, favor, protection, divine appointments, on-going financial and prayer support, and prayer for our family in the U.S.

Welcome! We have been in Christian media since 1983 working in radio, television, and the Internet in Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, Turkey, and Mongolia. Now the Lord has given us a ministry with the Jesus Film Project that has us involved in showing the Jesus Film on television stations worldwide.
How can you reach people for Christ in countries where the population may be indifferent or even hostile to the Gospel? Media is the answer. Media is a powerful tool that enables millions of people to discover God’s love and how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus.
The Jesus Film is already the most watched film in history. Billions of people have seen the Jesus Film. Nearly a quarter billion people have come to faith in Christ through this motion picture. Now that the film has been restored and re-released in HD, millions more will see the story of Jesus through new broadcast efforts to share Christ through television worldwide.
Our past ministry work has helped bring thousands of men and women to Christ in the US, the Muslim world, and Mongolia. Tom is a Broadcast Specialist, having worked in talent and administrative positions in radio and television for more than 30 years. He has helped build and train staff of Christian radio and TV stations in three countries. Most recently, he served as President of Eagle Television in Mongolia, that nation's first independent TV station after the fall of communism. While in Mongolia, he also hosted the number one rated television program,Together Through The Bible, and authored more than 30 Bible studies used by the ministry to teach discipleship to more than 25,000 Mongolians nationwide.
Tom's previous media work includes serving as producer of the nationally syndicated radio program, Connection, hosted by Skip Heitzig, and as head of marketing and development for three syndicated radio properties hosted by the late Dr. Bill Bright. He also served as Operations Manager for KVOI (Tucson, Arizona) and KLYT (Albuquerque, New Mexico).
Diane works with volunteers at Cru headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Her work includes putting together ministry packages used by staff across the country to help them share their faith and lead students to Christ.
Partnership & Investment
In today’s challenging world, fulfilling the Great Commission is a task that no person or organization can do alone. Reaching the world for Christ requires ministry partnerships and financial investments designed to bring the love of Jesus through practical means to people who long to know the truth about God and how they can know him personally. We need your partnership in our ministry to enable us to do just that. Would you please consider taking a step of faith with us by financially investing in our ministry?
Thank you for your consideration and desire to reach challenging and difficult areas of the world for Christ.
Ken and Linda Stapleton, ordained Foursquare missionaries are both Seattle/Northwest natives who have been working in the Czech Republic for the past twenty-three years and deployed there since 1997. Their sending church is Living Way/Seattle Foursquare Church pastored by Kaj Martin. They’ve been members there since 1974.
The Czech Republic separated itself from the Soviet Union in 1989 after nearly a half century of communist rule. During that time, Christianity was systematically eliminated from the cultural landscape and Christians were discriminated against, especially in employment and educational opportunities. At least twenty percent of the population were government informers so being secretive, cautious and suspicious became hallmarks of society. That is the field that Ken and Linda stepped into in 1994.
The churches they found were small and weakened and experienced leadership was not easy to find. Ken and Linda arrived amid a small but powerful time of revival only to recognize that new churches were emerging but no one was available with ministry experience to nurture and mentor new pastors. They saw their years of ministry experience as a natural fit for the needs of those young leaders.
As time went on, Ken and Linda engaged in teaching in a Bible Training School, personal mentoring of new church leaders and training Christians in outreach and personal evangelism.
Over the years they have seen their ministry evolve to helping identify and mentor second generation leaders, modeling outreach techniques and practicing incarnational evangelism. Their ongoing work centers on making themselves available to serve and resource local pastors in whatever way they are asked.
Over the past few months they have invested much in making opportunity available for young, aspiring missionaries to come and serve alongside them as interns, trainees and aides. Their heart’s desire is to facilitate releasing the next generation of missionaries into the rich and rewarding field of Central Europe and wherever else God may call them.
